Education Benefits for Veterans
UMES is fully accredited for accepting veteran students and assists them in their certification. Credit is given for any work done during the period of service which is related to the major field of study.
A Certificate of Eligibility must be submitted to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment when the veteran reports for registration. Benefits to which veterans are entitled will be sent each month directly to them by the Veterans Administration after proper certification has been obtained. Veterans are responsible for the payment of all fees and expenses at the same time as all other students. The Admissions Office coordinates veteran services, and veterans are advised to contact the office for further information on admissions, tutorials, and special programs.
The veteran office is located:
Student Development Center (SDC), 1st Floor
University of Maryland Eastern Shore
Office of Admissions, Room 1140
Princess Anne, Maryland 21853.
