USDA/FSIS Enforcement Investigation and Analysis Officer (EIAO) Educational Program

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore Food Science and Technology PhD Program (UMES/FDST) incorporated with the ARS/UMES Center of Excellence, and USDA/FSIS/OPPED will hold a USDA/FSIS/OPPED workshop entitled, "USDA/FSIS Enforcement Investigation and Analysis Officer (EIAO) Educational Program for Meat and Poultry Processors” workshop. The program is an overview of USDA/FSIS EIAO Work Methods and Administrative Enforcement Activities.  The course elements, which are FSIS Form 5000-8 and FSIS Directive 5100.1 & 9CFR Parts 416, 417, 430, and 310.25, are being taught to USDA/FSIS Inspectors.  The program is designed to allow meat and poultry processors to develop a better understanding of the elements of FSIS Form 5000-8 and FSIS Directive 5100.1 & 9CFR Parts 416, 417, 430, and 310.25 as well as the roles of the trained personnel within the agency.

 

The course will be taught by “Dr. Tom Mcdougal,” from USDA/FSIS/OPPED/Center for Learning, at the UMES Center for Food Science and Technology Building, One Backbone Road, Princess Anne, MD on Thursday 8Pth February 2007 from 8.00 AM to 5:00 PM.
