The University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites applications for either of two full-time, twelve-month, tenure-track faculty positions within the School of Arts and Professions.
Responsibilities: Both of these new faculty members will teach in our developing mid-career weekend format Organizational Leadership (ORLD) Ph.D. program and Educational Leadership (EDLD) Ed.D. program. As members of the graduate faculty, they will chair doctoral committees, evaluate comprehensive exams, lead research seminars, evaluate research proposals and dissertation drafts, serve as research and advisor coordinators as needed, respond to the needs of doctoral students, report to and assist the Director of the ORLD/EDLD Department, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Organizational Leadership, Educational Leadership, or closely related field with an interest in government, academics, and/or health agencies highly preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate evidence of scholarship, teaching excellence at the university level, successful doctoral mentorship and dissertation guidance, superior collegiality, and the ability to work as a team member. Successful candidates should be able to begin work approximately June 1, 2006, or earlier as preferred.
One faculty member is sought with expertise in teaching Statistics, SPSS Applications, and Statistical Analysis. One faculty member is sought with expertise in teaching Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods.
Benefits: Salary range is $65,000-75,000 and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
