- Library Instruction sessions are designed to develop and enhance

- Course Reserves – library materials and/or personal resources may be
placed on reserve for short term check out by your students. We encourage faculty to place desk
copies or their copy of highly-priced textbooks on reserve. For additional information on course

- Media - Services include audiovisual equipment loans and non-print
loans, videotaping, editing, videotape and audio cassette duplication.
Other services such as banner and poster designs, transparency
production, spiral binding scanning, and lamination are provided for a
small fee. The Media Services
Center also provides access to the Interactive Video Network (IVN)
System. For additional

- Serials - The Serials/Documents Department (lower level) Maintains
journals, magazines, newspapers, newsletters, state, federal, and
international documents. For

- Reference Department Staff provide
research assistance, coordinate library instruction sessions, update and
maintain available electronic resources; develop subject-based library
tutorials, and more. For

- Circulation All circulating materials in the Frederick Douglass Library
are charged out at the Circulation Desk on the first floor. Course reserves are housed at the
Circulation Desk. In addition, 30
fully loaded laptops are available for in-house use. For additional

- Special Collections Rare books, manuscripts, theses/dissertations and
archival material are maintained in the Special Collections Department
which is located on the second floor of the library. University Archives
houses the documentary records of the university, including official
publications, reports, photographs, and miscellaneous documents relating
to the history of the institution. The Manuscript Collection features
the papers of public figures of the Eastern Shore and elsewhere. For additional information on the
