Safari Tech Books Online

Safari Tech is a recent addition to the Frederick Douglass Library’s (FDL) database collection.  This database allows users to search, retrieve, and view a selected collection of IT books online.  Currently, the Frederick Douglass Library subscribes to 99 IT titles online.

To access Safari Tech Books Online, follow the directions below: 

1. Access the Frederick Douglass Library’s homepage at www.umes.edu/fdl
2. Click on ‘Databases by Title’
3. Scroll down and click on Safari Tech
    

   

There are several ways to search this database.

• Keywords – words or phrases that appear anywhere in the record
• Author
• Title – words that appear in the title of the book
• Publisher
• ISBN – International Standard Book Number
• View all Titles – this feature allows users to see the full alphabetical list of titles available

2. Click on ‘Go’

The results will look like this, click on the “Book Title” or “Most Relevant Section” that interests you.
