The University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites resumes for a nine month, full-time, tenure track position beginning August, 2013. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualification.
Responsibilities: Provide instruction; conduct research; engage in University, Department, and community service; supervise undergraduate and graduate student research; provide academic advisement and mentor undergraduates; and develop grants to support teaching and research activities. The primary are of instruction shall include teaching courses in introductory biology, human anatomy and physiology, endocrinology, and related areas. The research area is open but it should have potential to compliment existing areas of strength and interaction with the graduate programs within the department. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Ph.D., postdoctoral training, and academic preparation in relevant area of Biology required. Must have strong evidence of scholarly activity and research productivity. Ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in the field of specialization required. Experience in grantsmanship required. Ability to get along with others required.
