Responsibilities: Acts a liaison to the university's alumni population by developing and implementing programs, activities and services on behalf of the University for alumni participation; develops, markets, and enhances annual fund programming including the alumni phonathon geared toward securing gifts from alumni and students; works with the Office of Development and Advancement Services and maintains a highly visible role with and solicits financial support from the Universitys alumni and students including cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of annual and major gifts; effectively communicating with alumni and student through face-to-face meetings, events, mailings, e-mail social media and website communications to ensure that alumni activities advance the University's constituency relations and fundraising campaign goals; assists in the development of institutional policies and procedures. The Director of Alumni Development has primary responsibility for the creation, development and publication of the universitys alumni magazine. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Master's degree or higher is required. Three to five years experience in annual and major gift development. Planned giving experience a plus. Certificate in Fundraising Management or CFRE preferred. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills are required. Must have experience in marketing, event planning, publication design, program development, and implementation. Must be able to multi-task and pay attention to detail. Must be social media savvy. Graphic design experience a plus.
