The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is currently accepting resumes for a nine month, tenure track, full-time position. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester to include but not limited to Spanish elementary and intermediate language courses, as well as upper division Spanish literature courses; student advising, and department, school, and university committee responsibilities. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Ph.D in Spanish or related area required. ABD status candidates will be considered. Teaching experience teaching on the university level in Spanish language and literature courses required. Ability to teach first year level French, Arabic, or Chinese courses to traditional and/or nontraditional students desired. Knowledge of software for foreign languages to enhance instruction required. Familiarity with Blackboard required. Ability to get along with others required. Note: Individuals with degrees outside of the US may be subject to verification at the expense of the candidate.
