The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is accepting resumes for a full-time, nine month, tenure track, faculty position beginning August, 2013. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities: Candidates will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) level courses in bioinorganic chemistry, inorganic, and introductory organic chemistry. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Ph.D in Inorganic Chemistry required. Candidates with research programs in bioinorganic chemistry and inorganic catalysis on organic synthesis desired however all areas of inorganic chemistry research will be considered. Expertise in thermal analysis, mass spectrometry, infrared spectrometry, and porosimetry is preferred. A keen interest in mentoring undergraduate and graduate students is highly desirable. A proven record of research productivity is expected to establish a vigorous externally funded research program. Note: Individuals with degrees outside of the US may be subject to verification. Verification of degree is the responsibility of the candidate.
