School of Agricultural and Natural Sciences
The Dean for the School of Agricultural and Natural Sciences invites resumes for a twelve month, full-time, exempt position. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The position will report to the Dean, School of Agricultural and Natural Sciences.
Responsibilities: Attend, organize, and execute various recruitment events. The successful candidate will be expected to: contact and meet high school counselors and teachers to explain various academic programs in the School; work with chairs, departmental faculty and student recruiters to Coordinate recruitment activities; participate in classroom visitation and other special events to explain the school's academic programs to potential students; provide information regarding admissions requirements and program benefits to prospective students and parents via phone, mail and personal visits; follow-up with mail or phone calls, as appropriate; assist new students with the enrollment process and career options; follow-up with and maintain data on students who choose to leave school/university and identify reasons why; produce follow-up reports regarding activities and future plans; work with recruitment staff to coordinate assigned activities with those of other programs and university-wide efforts; provide support during Enrollment 101, registration, special events and tours; assist new students with the enrollment process including advising, placement testing administration, and registration of first time students; facilities planning, organization of summer camps and other experiential learning activities for pre-college students; coordinate school-wide experiential learning activities as needed; and provide support for the organization of school-wide retention activities as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required in Agriculture/Human Ecology or related field. Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills required. Computer literacy required including knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to work a flexible schedule required. Ability to manage details required. Valid driver's license required.
