Department of Fine Arts
The School of the Arts and Professions at University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites resumes for a full-time, twelve month, non-tenure track faculty position. Salary is commensurate with education, experience and qualifications. The position is available January or July 2013.
Responsibilities: Teach two classes per semester; and plan and implement all exhibitions and events in the university gallery including management of exhibitions, logistics, installation, publications, scheduling, mailings, and security. The candidate will have responsibility for budget, contracts, and proposals and tracking expenditures as the primary financial overseer of gallery funds. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: MFA or equivalent terminal degree required. Three years of gallery and teaching experience at the undergraduate level and a national and/or international exhibition record required. Applicant should demonstrate a developed ability and keen interest in teaching two dimensional media at the foundation level. Grant writing experience is also highly desired. Ability to get along with others required.
