Department of Business, Management and Accounting
The Department of Business, Management and Accounting is currently accepting resumes for a nine month, tenure track faculty position. Responsibilities include teaching nine to twelve semester hours per semester, providing academic advisement to students, conducting research that leads to publications in recognized refereed and professional journals, and providing service to the University, Department and the Community. Performs other related duties as assigned.
An earned research doctoral degree in Accounting or related area required. Doctoral students who are currently ABD and who expect to complete all requirements before August 2013 are also encouraged to apply. College level teaching experience is required and candidates must provide evidence of quality teaching. Candidates must have interpersonal skills that facilitate interaction with diverse student body, colleagues, and administration.
The Department has approximately 300 students and is one of the largest on campus. We offer degrees in Accounting, Business Administration with General, Marketing, and Finance concentrations, and Business Education. The Department is accredited from the AACSB International, and all hiring will be done in accordance with AACSB requirements for academic and professional qualifications. The department currently leads the University in research output, and new faculty will be expected to contribute to continuing this achievement.
