The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) invites resumes
for a nine month, full-time, tenure track position. Salary is
commensurate with experience and qualification. UMES is a
comprehensive institution, and the Department of Natural Sciences
is home to graduate programs in Chemistry, Marine-Estuarine-
Environmental Sciences, Toxicology and Quantitative Fisheries and
Resource Economics and undergraduate programs in Biology, Chemistry
(ACS certified), Environmental Science and Biology and Chemistry
Responsibilities: Teach courses in
Biology, Anatomy, and Physiology; mentor undergraduate and graduate
students; secure grant funds and conduct research in his or her
expertise. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in
Biology or related science area required. Strong preference will be
given to candidates with expertise in physiology. Must have strong
evidence of scholarly activity and research productivity. Ability
to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in the field of
specialization required. Experience in grantsmanship required.
Ability to get along with others required.
