The University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites nominations for
a nine month tenure track position beginning January or July 2014.
The success candidate must be willing to contribute effectively and
collegially to a positive learning environment for a diverse
student population. Salary is commensurate with experience
Responsibilities: Teach four classes per
semester; advise students; and serve on university committees.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: MFA or equivalent
terminal degree in Art required. Teaching experience at the
undergraduate level preferred. A national and/or international
exhibition or publication record preferred. The applicant should
demonstrate a developed ability and keen interest in one or more of
the following: Cartooning, Sequential Arts (Comics), Illustration,
and Computer Graphics Candidates with successful experience working
in culturally diverse settings are preferred.
