Department of Athletics
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore invites resumes for a
full-time, twelve month, exempt position with full benefits. Salary
is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The Assistant
Athletic Trainer will report to the Head Athletic Trainer.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting the
Head Athletic Trainer in all aspects of healthcare for the
student-athletes; assisting with organizational and administrative
duties of the athletic training room; medical recordkeeping; staff
scheduling; inventory; budgeting; pre-participation screenings of
student athletes; preseason preparation and practices; initial
treatment, evaluation, and rehabilitation of student athletes; and
serving as an Approved Clinical Instructor for the athletic
training students from Salisbury University. Performs other related
duties as assigned. This position involves working weekends,
evenings, holidays, and traveling with collegiate athletic
Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine required. Masters' degree
preferred. BOC Certified Athletic Trainer, current CPR and First
Aid Certification required. Athletic Trainers employed in the
State of Maryland must have obtained state licensure by hire date.
Proficiency with computers required. Excellent organization,
communication and interpersonal skills are required.
