The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) invites
applications for a full-time, twelve month, non-tenure track faculty position
in the area of critical care. The
practice site for this position is Peninsula Regional Medical Center (PRMC) in
nearby Salisbury, MD.

Pharmacy at UMES is dedicated to developing exemplary pharmacy professionals
and scholars who are committed to patient-centered care, lifelong learning,
discovery, and service for diverse communities of the Delmarva Peninsula, the
State of Maryland, and around the world. Faculty are dedicated and promote a
positive work environment. The Doctor of Pharmacy program is accredited by
didactic and experiential education in pharmacy practice, specifically critical
care and related subjects; participate in direct patient care; develop/maintain
a practice which supports interactions with other health professionals;
develop/revise course(s) in the doctor of pharmacy curriculum to meet and
exceed accreditation standards; cooperate and coordinate with others in
team-taught courses; develop and commit to scholarly activity; serve on School
and University committees; participate in regional and/or national professional
organizations along with peers and students. Performs other related duties as
Doctor of Pharmacy required. Current Maryland pharmacy license or eligibility
for Maryland licensure required. Critical care residency preferred or least
three (3) years of comparable experience required. Experience in didactic
and experiential teaching preferable. Excellent communication skills, verbal
and written, required. Demonstration of teaching excellence, including student
engagement in the learning process required. Efficient organization skills and
a record of leadership required.
