School of Pharmacy and Health
The University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) seeks a full-time,
twelve month, non-tenure track faculty position. UMES
is located in rural Maryland and is one of America’s most beautiful campuses.
The School of Pharmacy at UMES is dedicated to developing exemplary
pharmacy professionals and scholars who are committed to patient-centered care,
lifelong learning, discovery, and service for diverse communities of the
Delmarva Peninsula, the State of Maryland, and around the world. Faculty are dedicated
and promote a positive work environment. The practice site is in Salisbury,
Maryland. The Doctor of Pharmacy program is
accredited by ACPE.
Responsibilities: Conduct clinically based research; provide didactic and
experiential education in clinical research; develop/maintain a practice which
supports interactions with other health professionals; contribute to team
taught courses; commit to scholarly activity and mentorship of other scholars; serve
on School and University committees; and participate in regional and/or
national professional organizations along with peers and students. Performs
other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: A Doctor of Pharmacy and/or Ph.D. required. Track record of
clinically based research relevant to pharmacy practice required. Experience in
didactic and experiential teaching preferable. Excellent communication skills, verbal
and written, required. Research skills in the clinical setting required. Demonstration
of teaching excellence, including student engagement in the learning process
required. Efficient organization skills and a record of leadership required.
