The Department of Social Science
invites resumes for two full-time, twelve month, tenure track faculty positions.
Salary range for the positions is commensurate with experience and
Responsibilities: The new faculty members will teach in the mid-career weekend format
Organizational Leadership (ORLD) Ph.D. and undergraduate program. As a member
of the Department of Social Sciences, the successful candidates will:
- Teach selected doctoral
level core, specialization, and methodology courses
- Chair and serve on dissertation
- Evaluate comprehensive
- Supervise Internships and
- Assist the department
chair and the coordinator of the ORLD program in the execution of their
respective duties (program assessment and evaluation, strategic planning,
- Engage in scholarly
activities and grants writing
- Teach courses in leadership theory.
- Serve the university and
wider community when possible
- Performs other related
duties as assigned by the graduate program coordinator and/or the chair of
the Department of Social Sciences.
Course load will be 5 (3/2 or 2/3
depending on the needs of the department) courses for the academic year.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership or
Organizational Leadership, Sociology, Organizational Behavior with interest in
government, academics, social services and/or healthcare, History,
Organizational Psychology, or Political Science required. The ideal candidate demonstrates
evidence of scholarship; has teaching, excellence; has served as dissertation
and academic advisor; superior collegiality, and the ability to work as a team
