The University of Maryland Eastern
Shore (UMES) seeks a full-time, twelve month position as Assistant or Associate
Dean for Professional Affairs for its School of Pharmacy.
Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage interprofessional
education with various health professions; coordinate and facilitate
professional development activities for students, faculty, and staff; develop and
maintain a continuing Education Program;
participate in team-taught courses in area of expertise; serve on School and
University committees; and participate in regional and/or national professional
organizations. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) or B.S. Pharm. degree required. Experience
in graduate education preferred. Additional consideration will be given to
candidates with a strong pharmacy practice background. Excellent communication
skills (verbal and written) required. Demonstration of teaching excellence,
including student engagement in the learning process required. A sustained record of scholarly activity
required. Leadership and management experiences sufficient to run the
