Department of Natural Sciences
Applications are currently being accepted for undergraduate jobs for the Summer 2013. The hours are 40 hours/week for every two weeks.
Requirements: Applicants should major in environmental sciences or marine science or have similar background. Priorities will be given to those who have a GPA of 3.0 or better.
Responsibilities: Performing data analysis and providing assistance to research cruises in the coastal ocean. Student interns are required a minimum commitment of 2 weeks at a time of offshore survey activities. This means they need to be prepared to stay offshore for a minimum of 2 weeks on any given shift (longer if no more than two interns commit to the program.) Interns may be required to assist with transporting equipment, materials, and/or survey personnel before, during, or immediately after field operations.
Pay: $15 to $20 per hour.
