UMES open house informs prospective students
PRINCESS ANNE, MD – (Oct. 9, 2013) An open house will be held Sat., Oct. 12 at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. High school juniors and seniors and their parents are invited to a 10 a.m. presentation in the Student Services Center theater by staff from admissions, financial aid and residence life.
An Academic Fair in the Student Services Center ballroom and tours of the campus follow the opening event.
Parents and students can meet with representatives from the various academic departments to learn about majors and internship opportunities. Admissions will conduct on-site admissions and Financial Aid will meet with attendees to discuss options for financing a college education.
“This is an opportunity for interested students to learn more about UMES,” said Tyrone Young, director of admissions and recruitment. “We aim to showcase the university and build a pipeline for future enrollment, particularly for Fall 2014.”
