Welcome to the website of the School of the Arts and Professions. Our goal is to model best practices of teaching, learning, thinking, student engagement and leadership. New ideas and new energy result in new initiatives in the School of the Arts and Professions. A spirit of accomplishment drives our visionary activities.
The School of the Arts and Professions focuses its efforts and resources on the preparation of students who serve humanity in a personally and professionally ethical manner. Immersion in cultural and educational experiences that promote coherent thinking, reward creative artistic expression, and demand the exercising of sound judgment flows from the extensive theoretical bases and application unique to the academic disciplines represented in the departments.
The School of the Arts and Professions includes five academic departments:
School faculty conduct research and development initiatives with the Maryland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration, Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Bank of America, Department of Defense, Title III, National Security Agency, the Maryland State Department of Education and other agencies.
