Admissions

All regular requirements of the university, as set forth in the catalog, must be met prior to admission into the Master of Science Program in the Department of Criminal Justice. The admission criteria include:

1. bachelor degree from an accredited institution;

2. 3.0 grade point average (GPA) or better-on a 4.0 scale-for overall undergraduate course work for regular graduate students (2.5-2.9 for provisional students);

3. three letters of recommendation from persons capable of adequately assessing the applicant's potential for success in the program;

4. graduate Record Examination (GRE). (An exceptional GPA may offset a weak performance on the GRE);

5. an interview by the admissions committee.
