Welcome to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore School of Arts & Professions page. The School of Arts and Professions includes nine academic departments with areas of concentration spanning special education, telecommunications, rehabilitation services, and criminal justice. School faculty routinely conduct research and development initiatives with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA), the National Institues of Health, the Department of Energy, the National Security Agency, and the Maryland State Department of Education.

The School of Arts and Professions focuses its efforts and resources on the preparation of students who serve humanity in a personally and professionally ethical manner. Immersion in cultural and education experiences that promote coherent thinking, reward creative artistic expression, and demand the exercising of sound judgement flows from the extensive theoretical bases and application unique to the academic disciplines represented in the departments.
