Welcome to the web site for the Department of English and Modern Languages. We are here to provide service courses for the various departments; to prepare teachers of English for middle and secondary schools; to prepare individuals for graduate schools, professional schools, and career opportunities; and to provide outreach services for surrounding schools and communities. The goal of the Department is to offer a varied program of study in written and oral communications, literature, and foreign languages, in order to prepare well-rounded individuals capable of continued intellectual and moral development.
