CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature) covers over
1600 professional journals in nursing and allied health. Also includes
publications from the National League for Nursing and the American Nurses'

& Safety Information on Household Products
Information in the Household Products Database is taken
from a variety of publicly available sources, including brand-specific
labels and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) prepared by manufacturers.

Nearly 600 Scholarly full text titles covering nursing and allied health,
450 of these are peer-reviewed titles about 400 more titles are indexed and
abstracted. Includes full text from titles such as: Creative Nursing, Issues
in :Comprehensive Pediatric Nursing; Community Health Nursing; Journal of
Nursing Management; Patient Care for the Nurse Practitioners; Clinical
Pharmacology.

This resource provides access to nearly 300 full text,
consumer health periodicals as well as indexing and abstracts for more than
300 periodicals. Also included in this database is searchable full text for
nearly 1,100 health-related pamphlets; 145 health reference books, including
books published by the People's Medical Society; more than 4,500 Clinical
Reference Systems reports (in English and Spanish); and Stedman's Medical
Dictionary, which provides users with access to terminology of genetics,
oncology, pediatrics, pulmonology, emergency medicine, bacteriology, and
laboratory medicine. In addition, this database includes Clinical
Pharmacology, which provides access to up-to-date, concise and clinically
relevant drug monographs for all U.S. prescription drugs, hard-to-find
herbal and nutritional supplements, over-the-counter products and new drugs.
Full text information in this database dates as far back as 1985.
MedlinePlus
MedlinePlus, is a goldmine of good health information from
the world's largest medical library, the National Library of Medicine.
Health professionals and consumers alike can depend on it for information
that is authoritative and up to date. MedlinePlus has extensive information
from the National Institutes of Health and other trusted sources on over 650
diseases and conditions.
MEDLINE with MESH
Provides abstracts and indexing using Medical Subject
Headings (MESH) for about 4,600 biomedical journals published in the U.S.
and 70 foreign countries. Covers the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry,
veterinary medicine, psychiatry, pre-clinical sciences, medical education
and health care planning and administration of services.
Physical Education Index
Physical Education Index features a wide variety of
content, ranging from physical education curricula, to sports medicine, to
dance. Other coverage includes sport law, kinesiology, motor learning,
recreation, standardized fitness tests, sports equipment, business and
marketing, coaching and training, and sport sociology/psychology. Health
education and physical therapy are also covered.
Pre-CINAHL
A companion database to CINAHL, Pre-CINAHL is intended to
provide current awareness of new journal articles, and includes a rotating
file of limited bibliographic information (no subject searching). Once
subject indexing is assigned, these records are moved into CINAHL.

This interdisciplinary database
offers abstracts and citations to a wide range of research in biomedicine,
biotechnology, zoology and ecology, and some aspects of agriculture and
veterinary science.
Entrez
Entrez is the integrated, text-based search and retrieval
system used at NCBI for the major databases, including PubMed, Nucleotide
and Protein Sequences, Protein Structures, Complete Genomes, Taxonomy, and
others.
Genetics Abstracts
Indexes and abstracts journal articles covering the widest possible
perspective of genetics as a whole, from microbes to plants to humans.
Includes Molecular Genetics, Chromosomes, Extrachromosomal Genetics, Cell
Cycle, Chemical Mutagenesis, Radiation Genetics, Immunogenetics,
Evolutionary Genetics, and Medical Genetics.
Human Genome Abstracts
Human Genome Abstracts offers a comprehensive
source for developments and promising applications emerging from
international genome research, including the massive Human Genome Project.
NCBI Bookshelf
The Bookshelf is a growing collection of biomedical books.
Oncogenes and Growth Factors Abstracts
Conceived by two NIH
scientist, Oncogenes and Growth Factors Abstracts covers every aspect of
oncogene research into the molecular basis of malignant transformations.
This journal will prove indispensable in suggesting new directions for

EJS E-journals
E-Journals allows search and
retrieval of citations, abstracts and full text. Users have access to titles
from publishers who have given EBSCO permission to re-use Table of Contents and
abstract information in an aggregated database. Please note that this does not
represent all of the titles available in EJS. Limiters can be utilized to
further narrow search results. Most of these titles are scientific,
technological or medical in nature.
GreenFILE
NEW
GreenFILE offers well-researched information covering all aspects of human impact to the environment. Its collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles includes content on global warming, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling, and more. The database provides indexing and abstracts for more than 384,000 records, as well as Open Access full text for more than 4,700 records.

database contains a broad range of medical topics relating to research,
clinical practice, administration, policy issues, and health care services.
Science Direct
Science Direct provides access to over 2,000 journals
including the full text of over five hundred journals . Articles are
generally available from 1995 forward. Coverage is strongest for biology,
chemistry, geology, marine science, mathematics, medicine and physics, but
numerous other disciplines are represented, including business, child
development, coastal resource management, computer science, economics,
history, hospitality, industrial technology, library and information science,
and tourism.

PsycARTICLES
PsycArticles contains more than 25,000 full text articles from 42 journals
published by American Psychological Association and allied organizations.
Coverage includes general psychology and specialized basic, applied,
clinical, and theoretical research in psychology.
Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection
This database provides coverage of more than 500 full
text journals, including nearly 500 peer-reviewed titles. Psychology &
Behavioral Sciences Collection covers topics such as emotional and behavioral
characteristics, psychiatry & psychology, mental processes, anthropology, and
observational and experimental methods.
PsycINFO
PsycINFO contains more than one million citations and summaries of journal
articles, book chapters, books, dissertations and technical reports, all in
the field of psychology. Journal coverage, which spans from 1887-present,
includes international material selected from more than 1,700 periodicals in
over 35 languages.
Health and Safety Science Abstracts
This database provides a
comprehensive, timely survey of recent work relating to public health, safety,
and industrial hygiene. Cited studies are geared to help individuals identify,
evaluate, and eliminate or control risks and hazards across the spectrum of
environmental and occupational situations. The database provides the latest
perspectives on topics of widespread concern such as aviation and aerospace
safety, environmental safety, nuclear safety, medical safety occupational
safety, and ergonomics. Health and safety related aspects of pollution, waste
disposal, radiation, pesticides, epidemics - and countless other phenomena
having the potential to threaten the public, the environment, or the workplace
itself - are reported here.
Toxicology Abstracts
Toxicology Abstracts covers issues
from social poisons and substance abuse to natural toxins, from legislation
and recommended standards to environmental issues. Surveying the literature
for toxicology studies of industrial and agricultural chemicals, household
products, pharmaceuticals, and myriad other substances, each issue publishes
information concerning the in vivo effects of toxic substances. Topics of
current concern such as the effects of alcohol and smoking, drug abuse,
hydrocarbon studies, nitrosamines, radiation and radioactive materials, and
much more are extensively examined. Toxicity testing methodology and
analytical procedures for toxic substances are also covered.
