Criminal Justice Abstracts

The Frederick Douglass Library provides access to a criminology database entitled Criminal Justice Abstracts.  This database Abstracts provides comprehensive coverage of the major journals in criminology and related disciplines.  It is important to understand that Criminal Justice Abstracts does NOT contain any full text.

To access the Criminal Justice Abstracts database, follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Library’s home page (www.umes.edu/fdl)
2. Click on ‘Databases by Title’
3. Scroll down to the Criminal Justice Abstracts link and click on it

At this point, you may search for your topic in several ways:

• Find Terms Anywhere – words or phrases that appear anywhere in the record
• Find Terms in Subject – words or phrases that appear in the subject field
• Find Terms in Title – words or phrases that appear in the title field
• Find Terms in Author

To search this database, follow the steps below:

1. In the search box, enter your search term or phrase
   
    

2. Click on the search button

The results will look like this; simply click on the ‘Complete Record’ link to see the full record
