The following is a list of scholarships available through the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

For more information, please contact the Financial Aid Office. The Financial Aid Office can provide further information about the availability of scholarships. It is recommended that students make an appointment with the Financial Aid Office early so that funding deadlines are met.


Alliance for Minority Participation Scholarship
Source: National Science Foundation
Award: Room, Board, & Tuition
Criteria: Freshman minority student majoring in biology, chemistry, nutrition, animal science, plant science, math, or computer science; competitive SAT & high school GPA.

Honors Program Scholarship
Source: University Funded
Award: variable; renewable or three years providing student maintains at least a 3.0 GPA per semester.
Criteria: Admissions to The Honors Program. Priority given to students pursuing a major in a health/science area.

Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Award
Source: Thurgood Marshall Foundation
Award: $4,000 per year
Criteria: Entering freshman with competitive SAT & GPA; must maintain 3.0 to be eligible for scholarship renewal.

Minority Access to Research Careers

Award: Tuition
Criteria: Natural science majors interested in pursuing Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degrees
