The
major goal of this program is to increase opportunities for
undergraduate students attending HBCU's and other public and private
colleges and universities in the U.S. to study abroad in Africa.
In order to achieve this
goal, the objectives of the program are to:

Recruit 15 undergraduate students from HBCUs and other public
and private colleges and universities who are interested in studying
abroad in Africa;

Enroll participants at the host universities in their major fields of
study;

Provide participants with the opportunity to acquire a community-based
experience in participating countries;

Provide opportunities for participants to learn about the Country's
culture and its diversity; and
-
Provide opportunities for participants to share living and learning
experiences acquired while studying abroad when they return to their
home institutions.
