For the Spring 2003 semester, LESSEN has been approved to distribute the Maryland Public Television, K-12 Educational Video Service overnight broadcast. Each Tuesday thru Friday from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM, beginning February 4th through the end of May, LESSEN will transmit via ITFS Channel 24 the two hour block programming which MPT broadcast the same day at 2:00 AM.

This is an opportunity for the schools to receive, record and use the educational videos offers during regular school hours.


The MPT program schedule will be followed as:
Tuesday-Math, Science and the Environment
Wednesday-English and Social Studies
Thursday-Special Area Subjects
Friday-Interdisciplinary Themes or Professional Development Programs

The retention rights for the MPT educational programs distributed by LESSEN via ITFS will strictly follow the secured rights of Maryland Public Television, K-12 Educational Videos Services 2002-2003 year.
