Statement of Purpose should be written by applicant to describe his or her career goals.  It should discuss the applicant’s interests that are relevant to the goals of NOAA, the sustainable use of living marine resources, and why the applicant is qualified to receive support.

Sponsor Letter should be written by the faculty member that will allow the student to work in their lab.  It should describe research in which the student will be involved and why he or she feels that the student is a good candidate for research in their lab and should be supported by this program.
