Family Fun Day at Coastal Ecology
Lab
As a part of its public
outreach efforts, LMRCSC students and researchers hosted volunteers from the
National Aquarium in Baltimore at UMES' Coastal Ecology Teaching and Research
Laboratory at Assateague Island on July 11, 2006 for a day of fun and
educational activities. Family Fun Day, a part of NAIB's week-long "Beyond the
Boardwalk" event, is designed to teach beachgoers of all ages about the
importance of marine and estuarine habitat conservation and the new CETRL
provided an excellent setting.
Many thanks to the
volunteers from LMRCSC, UMES and the National Aquarium who worked to make the
event a success!
