Physical Plant Building

Plant operations/maintenance provides & maintains the physical facilities of UMES in the best possible condition.  We are a customer oriented organization numbering over  130 strong in personnel structured to serve the UMES community in the best possible way.  Services provided include but are not limited to:  Transportation Service, Carpentry/Painting, Locksmith/Key Services, HVAC Plumbing, Electrical, Central Receiving, Grounds, House Keeping, Moving, Events, Central Steam Plant, Sound/Lighting, Environmental Safety, Preventive Maintenance, Small/Medium Construction Projects/Renovations.  

 

To assist in receiving prompt, professional, & courteous services and requests, we utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) that allows the customer to request service on-line and receive a quick reply with an estimated time of delivery.  Emergency requests can be called in at extension 7725 or 6650.
