The housekeeping department ensures that all facility interiors are kept to the highest standard of cleanliness and orderliness at all times.  All housekeepers/service workers are given hands on training on the proper housekeeping cleaning procedures and the use of all equipment used in housekeeping.  The division also gives classes to allow the housekeepers/service workers to become certified in the following areas:  Chemistry of Cleaning, Basic Cleaning for Above-Floor Surfaces, Basic Cleaning of Restrooms, Basic Cleaning of Carpeted Floor Surfaces, and Basic Cleaning of Hard Floor Surfaces.

 

The division also responds to work requests from faculty and staff to construct set ups for events, move and discard furniture and to relocate staff throughout the campus.
