Designated Parking Locations
- Vehicles displaying State issued handicapped license plates or State issued handicapped window decals will be authorized to park in handicapped parking spaces on the UMES Campus.
- Under exceptional circumstances, persons with temporary medical disabilities may be issued a decal authorizing them to park near the building, in which they work or take classes. The individual must obtain written verification of their disability from their personal physician or the University physician stating the length of time the special permit will be needed is required. This information must then be submitted to the UMES Police Department and the Office of Disabled Student Services (DDS) c/o Dr. Diann Showell located on the second floor of the Student Development Center , Room 2119, (410) 651-6461.

Lot B - Student Development Center
Lot F - South side of Tawes Gym
Lot G - Northeast side of Douglas Library
Lot I - North side of Early Childhood Education Building
Lot L - South side of Murphy Hall
Lot M - West side of Waters Hall
Lot N - West side of Physical Plant
Lot O - Rear of Richard A. Henson Center
Lot P - Kiah Hall
Lot Q - Crop and Aquaculture
Lot R - Swine Research Facility
Lot S - Northwest side of Backbone Road
Lot T - William P. Hytche Athletic Center
Lot W - Food Science & Technology Center
Please note that Lot E (North sides of Tawes Gym) & Lot K (South side of Spaulding Hall) have been permanently closed. Parking is prohibited in both of these locations.
Commuter (Dark Blue Decal) Student Parking:
Lot A - Ella Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center
Lot B - Student Development Center
Lot C - West of Tennis Courts
Lot S - Northwest side of Backbone Road
Resident (Red Decal) Student Parking: (Read the ** Below)
Lot H - Clusters
Lot I - North side of Lida Brown Education Building
Lot J - Student Apartments 3 ,4,5 and 6
**Daily between the hours of 4pm to 7am , only the resident students who reside in the Clusters are allowed to park in Clusters Parking Lot H. The Cluster parking sticker is required to gain entry.
Resident (Yellow Decal) Student Parking:
Lot A - Ella Fitzgerald Performing Arts Center
Lot B - Student Development Center
Lot C - West of Tennis Courts
Lot D - Wicomico Hall
Lot U - University Terrace
Lot V - Hawks Landing
Visitors: **All visitors visiting the campus, should report 1st to University Police Department to receive a temporary parking decal.
There are limited exceptions to the above listed parking assignments. The Director of Public Safety handles exceptions on case-by-case basis.
Between the hours of 5:00pm and 7:00am , the University recognizes open parking in legal parking spaces
