Facilities

The Department of Rehabilitation is located in Hazel Hall, UMES' newest classroom building. Located on the first floor of Hazel Hall, the department has state-of-the-art facilities for training undergraduate and graduate rehabilitation students. Our facilities include individual and group therapy rooms with recording and playback capabiltiies throughout. These counseling training rooms also have one-way mirrors so instructors can unobtrusively observe students and their "clients" during practise sessions. Full audio/video services are available in each classroom, as well as wireless internet capabilities throughout Hazel Hall.

The department faculty also utilize the distance education software "Blackboard" to provide web assisted, hybrid, and a few totally online courses. Training in the use of Blackboard is avaible to students at UMES' Center for Instructional Technology located in Wilson Hall.
