The Univerisity of Maryland Eastern Shore, what a wonderful place? Perhaps this question stirs your interest, stimulates your desire, and will be the catalyst to broaden your awareness of Maryland's best kept secret. The University of Maryland Eastern Shore is an outstanding community where academic pursuits are complemented through the on-campus residential experience. Life, as a UMES resident, is unparalleled to that of the commuting student. Why so?

As a resident, there are numerous occasions to be exposed to a wonderful social life and to create friendships that often last a lifetime. As well, there are opportunities to live in, and share diversity through, a variety of cultural exchanges. Thus, UMES residents comprise populations from rural towns, big cities, and from every continent throughout the world. Just think, what a splendid way to increase your knowledge and enhance respect for humanity in general.

As often as possible, Residence Life at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore seeks to boast of it's programs and facilities. Each is a focal point which places concentration on excellence. Our facilities are grand when defined by college standards. They encompass an array which includes efficiency apartments, rooms with semi-private lavatories, non-efficiency single rooms, and traditional residence halls with community lounges. Additionally, each housing community is equipped with a Residential Resource Center containing computer laboratories. These locations accommodate professional and student personnel; available to help insure academic success. There are many other attractive amenities and perks to residing on campus. However, the greatest attraction will be to have you as a part of our family.
