To register for a Web-Based Class at UMES:
(March 6, 2003)
1. Enroll at UMES. Please contact Admissions via their web page
2. Get a campus email account:
To get an e-mail account from UMES Information Technology (IT), complete the MEEC ALL IN ONE form and present your ID in Bannaker Hall (the small building to the right of Carver Hall, #15).
OFF CAMPUS:
In the event you are off campus, please fax IT a copy of photo ID and a proof of registration (bill sheet or schedule), as well as the completed MEEC ALL IN ONE form. The fax number is (410) 651-7836. Please include on the form a phone number for IT to contact them if any problems arise.
3. To get a WEB CT account (User ID),
Email the course instructor from your UMES email account stating that you are registered and have a UMES email account. The instructor will add you to the global database. The instructor will email you the course password, once you have been added. Try welcome. Once this step is complete you may proceed with step 4.
4. To add a course once you have a WebCT account (User ID), this also applies if you have previously taken a UMES WEBCT course:
--Go to the Web CT page---.Click on "SEE COURSES"
------Under the CATEGORY Blackboard -- Click "Natural Sciences"
-------------Click the course you wish to add (for example "CHEM101G/W").
-------------------You can now logon. Once you are in the course, play around and become familiar with WebCT. You cannot alter anything so go ahead and have some fun. One word of caution, we do monitor the site.

For assistance with the course info once you have completed step 4, contact the instructor.
