Academic

Academic organizations' primary focus on providing support to students in academic majors and endeavors.  Some are chapters of national organizations, while others are organizations that have been started at UMES.  All offer an environment where students can talk to peers and faculty regarding specific occupational fields.  They also are excellent opportunities to network.  Many groups also sponsor seminars and lectures by professionals in their field, thereby exposing students to current trends and employment needs.  Membership in these clubs is open to all students.
