CRIMINAL JUSTICE
PRE-LAW SOCIETY |
|
On June 23, 1988, The Maryland State Board for Higher Education voted unanimously to approve a University of Maryland Eastern Shore proposal for a Criminal Justice Program, offering a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. The program, an element of the Social Science Department, was initiated in Fall 1989 with approximately 13 students. On November 10, 1998, Dr. Donald N. Langenberg, Chancellor, University System of Maryland, approved the University of Maryland Eastern Shore's request that its Criminal Justice Program be elevated to departmental status. The program officially became a department on April 15, 1999, with approximately 260 students. If you are interested in the Criminal Justice/Pre-Law Society, contact: Cory Walker
