In Maryland, you can enroll in a 4-year technology teacher education program in the Department of Technology at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES). UMES is part of the University System of Maryland. It has a beautiful campus on the eastern shore of Maryland in the historic town of Princess Anne. Campus facilities and faculty are excellent. You may also begin your preparation to become a Technology Education teacher at one of Maryland’s 2-year colleges. Once you have earned up to 61 credits in a course of study for becoming a Technology Education teacher, you can transfer to UMES. Select a link below to see the courses that will take you through selected community colleges on your way to a bachelor’s degree in Technology Education.

You can transfer from the community college to UMES after any semester. If you remain at the community college, you may earn up to 61 credits that can transfer toward a bachelor’s degree in Technology Education.
