Yeast Rolls

2 ½ Cups of Flour
1 Pkg Dry Yeast
½ Cup Lukewarm Water
4 ½ Tbsps. Of  Sugar
¾ Tsp. Salt
1/2 Cup Softened Butter
1 Egg
3 Tbsps. Vegetable Oil

Dissolve yeast in ½ cup warm water and set aside.   In a large bowl, sift together the flour, salt, and sugar.  Add the butter, slightly beaten egg and vegetable oil to the sifted flour mixture.  Mix with a wooden spoon or hands until uniformly blended.  Slowly add the yeast dissolved in water and blend until a dough is formed.  The dough must be moist so add more water ¼ cup at a time until dough is sticky.  Knead for 5 minutes.  Set aside in bowl in a warm place and cover with a cloth for one hour.  Knead once more for 5 minutes.  Form rolls and place on cookie sheet.  Before baking, let the rolls rise until doubled.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Bake rolls for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.  Turn the temperature down to 275 degrees for 5 minutes and remove.
