Peace Corps Prep Program

  • Peace Corps LogoThe University of Maryland Eastern Shore partnered with the Peace Corps to develop and offer a Peace Corps Prep Program (PC Prep program) that will complement our existing globalization efforts. Through our Center for International Education and Office of University Engagement and Lifelong Learning, we facilitate study abroad opportunities for our students in a variety of countries as well as international service experiences in the Caribbean and South America. Students receive post-graduation guidance through their dedicated faculty advisors and staff in our Office of Career Services. And our foreign language instructional laboratory provides language support services to the campus community. Given UMES is actively engaged in all of the four core competency areas expected of PC Prep participants, we are offering a structured, professional program that focuses on international learning and service to enhance the undergraduate experience of our students, while preparing them for future opportunities with the Peace Corps.
