The 2016 Fall Commencement exercises of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore will be held Friday, December 16, at 10:00 am in the William P. Hytche Athletic Center, and will last approximately two hours. Please join Dr. Bell, University President, family, friends, faculty, staff and students as we celebrate the 2016 fall graduating class of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Guests are advised that doors will close at 9:45 am at the start of the Commencement exercises and will remain closed. Guests are urged to be seated approximately one half-hour prior to the start of Commencement, if they wish to observe the student and faculty processional. In consideration for all attendees, especially our graduates, we ask that cellular telephones, blackberries, and other electronic messaging devices be turned off during the Commencement exercises. Noise-making devices, banners and posters are prohibited, as are all objects that would detract from the formality of the event. 2016 fall COMMENCEMENT VIEWING OPTIONS
For graduation candidates who have more guests than tickets, several viewing options are available.
Student Service Center Theatre - The theatre in the Student Service Center (SSC), will serve as the overflow site for those who do not have tickets, or for those who arrive after the doors to the Hytche Center have closed at the start of the commencement exercises.
Streaming – Commencement exercises will be streamed live on the UMES Web, at www.umes.edu. This is a great options for those who cannot travel.
Campus TV - Campus cable television channel 4-3 will show a live video feed, and can be viewed on any campus television.
