Commencement Checklist

  • Congratulations!

    With graduation just around the corner, the following is a reminder of items candidates for graduation should complete before the big day.

    ______  Complete the application for graduation – do it early to avoid missing the deadline and check with the registrar and business                   
    office to make sure you are eligible to participate in commencement exercises.  

    ______  Order your Commencement Regalia at

    ______  Sit for your yearbook commencement photo. Contact the Office of Campus Life for schedule, location and additional                               
    information(410) 651-6434. 

    ______  Secure hotel and restaurant reservations for guest as soon as possible.

    ______  Submit your request for visa letters for international guests at least eight weeks in advance to Dr. Lombuso Khoza. 

    ______  Attend the mandatory commencement rehearsal Thursday, May 23, 2019 in the William P. Hytche Center at 3:00 pm. You do               
    NOT have to bring your regalia.

    ______  Make arrangements for guests requiring special assistance, such as seating and parking, at least two weeks in advance.

    ______  Report to the Student Services Center (SSC) by 8:00 a.m. and assemble in the Ballroom for robing, and to receive final instructions.

    Remember, doors will close to the general public at 9:45 am and remain closed. Once the doors have closed, guest will be directed to the Student Services Center, where they will be able to watch the ceremony via closed circuit.
