    Explanation of Mandatory Fees:

    Mandatory Fee:  Explanation of Mandatory Fee 
    Athletic: Entitles the student to most athletic contests sponsored directly by the University of Maryland Eastern Shore and to use of athletic facilities (i.e. fields, tennis courts, exercise rooms, swimming pool, etc.). 
    Student Activities: Entitles the student to cultural activities, such as concerts, presentations, lectures, and student publications. This fee also supports the Student Government Association and associated events. 
    Recreational Facilities: Contributes to construction, repairs, and refurbishment to maintain quality commuter and resident life services and facilities. 
    Student Union:
    Funds support the operation of the Student Center and the programs housed within it. 
    Technology Fee: Technology fees are used to enhance technology infrastructure for the student body. 
    Student Health Services: Fee is used to enhance services at the Health Center. These services include lab tests, prevention activities, health education and technical support of electronic medical records, etc.


    NOTE: Students residing in the traditional Residence Halls and the Student Apartments are required to be on a board plan.
