How to Cite Sources

  • When writing a research paper, you must correctly cite where you gathered your information from.  You must cite within your paper (in text citations) and in your works cited page, where you gathered the information you are using in order to avoid plagiarism.

The following guides will assist you with correctly citing your sources both in text citations and for your works cited page.

Always check with your professor to see which citation style they require.

The guides are presented in two formats HTML and PDF.

PDF format will open up in Adobe Reader so you can print out the guide.
