    Qualifications

    • GPA must be 3.0 or better
    • Grades 10-12 (eligible candidates may be entering 10th grade or exiting 12 grade)
    • Participate in scholarly activities outside the classroom (i.e. community service; etc)
    • Have taken at least one computer course, and/or have working knowledge of computers

    Participation Criteria

    • Two letters of recommendation by principal, science teacher, or guidance counselor
    • Resume
    • Complete academic transcript must be provided
    • Essay (typewritten)

    Internship Requirements

    • Maintain a daily journal of activities
    • Develop a slide show presentation and a poster describing the project you were assigned and what you learned
    • Participate in entire internship (June 16 - 27)

    • Participate in entire internship (May - Aug, some may end a little earlier)

    Additional Information

    • Stipends in the amount of $300 will be awarded to those who complete all aspects of the internship
    • Lunch will be provided

    • Internships sites include: on campus, local, county, state, or federal agencies
    • Housing and transportation are NOT provided
