    The Kinesiology Club is a professional organization for students majoring in Exercise Science.  The club's focus is professional development, service, and recreational activities.  In addition to professional meetings, the organization activities include community service, participation in intramural sports nights, picnics, and the Annual Fitness Challenge.  Each year members are recommended for recognition from the Maryland Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (HPERD) and the American Alliance for HPERD.  Students are encourage to attend stat and regional professional conferences.

    GOALS & MISSIONS OF THE KINESIOLOGY CLUB

    To better serve our school and community with
    sharing our continued knowledge in
    Kinesiology.  Our club strives to create service and
    community outreach programs for our students
    which will help benefit others.

     

    WHAT WE HAVE TO OFFER AS A CLUB

    Career Education:  If you're looking to become an Exercise Physiologist, Exercise Specialist, Athletic Trainer, Health Educator, Physical Therapist, Health Promotion Coordinator, Recreation Director and Personal Trainer, etc.

    Leadership Development:  If you are inspired to utilize your gifts and/or enhance your talents, the Exercise Science Club has many positions for you to take a leadership role.  EXSC Club has the positions as President, Vice President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Publicity Secretary and Treasurer.  Serve and grow into the next leaders of the future.

    Hands on Experience:  Looking for a job?  Getting involved in your major is a valuable piece to the puzzle   Besides academics, jobs searches are look for someone who can translate book work to real life situations.  Every month the Kinesiology Club plans, designs, implements, and coordinate health-based events.  We help your aspirations as health professional to become reality as well as add to your resume.

    Networking:  This is a chance to connect with professors, administrators, and colleagues outside of the classrooms.  Getting to know these individuals are essential to your growth as a professional.  It also can strengthen your letters of recommendation.  Each semester the Kinesiology Club hosts game nights and pizza days within the department.  Join in on the fun and excitement as this is too apart of health.


    Students interested in joining the Kinesiology Club must be a Exercise Science Major.  

      

    HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER

    • To become a member, individual(s) must make their intentions known to officers and existing members at the first business meeting.  New members are voted into membership by majority vote of the associastion.

    • Once voted into membership, you must pay a membership due of $5.00.

    • Dues cover Membership Cards, Membership Buttons, Special Student Awards and Materials for Events.
