  • The Seidel Award in Computer Science

     

    Purpose:         To recognize an academically talented upper division computer science major from the Eastern Shore of Maryland who has demonstrated outstanding potential for leadership and service.

     

    Requirements:           1) Junior or Senior Computer Science major

                                        2) GPA 3.0

                                        3) Letter of application

                                        4) Three recommendations, at least one of which must be from a Computer Science faculty member

     

    John A. Wilson Achievement Award

     

    Purpose:         To provide funds to support annual renewable scholarships to incoming freshmen at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, who are studying Agriculture, Hotel/Restaurant    Management, or Math and Computer Science.

     

    Requirements:           1) A high school graduate

                                        2) A minimum 3.0 GPA

                                        3) A record of community service

                                        4) A record of leadership, and demonstrated by extra curricular activities, and/or by serving as an officer in the Student Government.

     

    Dr. Thelma W. Hedgepeth Memorial Prize

     

    Purpose:         To provide funds to support an award to a graduating senior majoring in Mathematics/Computer Science at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

     

    The Daniel J. Pinkett Award in Mathematics


    Purpose:         To honor a graduating mathematics/computer science major who has excelled in the field. Selections are made by the mathematics/computer science faculty.

     

     

     

     

    The Richard Bernstein Achievement Award for Excellence

     

    Purpose:         To provide funds to support an award to a graduating senior majoring in business, accounting, engineering technology, construction management technology, science, computer science or mathematics.

     

    Frank C. Lin Fund

     

    Purpose:         To provide funds to support scholarships for graduate students in Applied Computer Science and who are not U.S. Citizens.

     

    Requirements:           1) Student is not a U.S. Citizen

                                        2) Must have a high academic standing (using cumulative GPA)

                                        3) Must demonstrate student leadership ability
